Ken Falkenstein, Personal Injury Attorney
Ken Falkenstein, Personal Injury Attorney
Ken’s approach to his practice is client-focused. He understands that people who have been injured due to other people’s negligence have suffered much more than physical injuries. They have suffered traumas that have impacted their entire lives. His job is to make insurance adjusters, defense attorneys, judges, and juries understand that as well in order to ensure that his clients are truly fully compensated for what they’ve lost. Ken’s core guiding principle in his practice is that when you take care of the client, the case takes care of itself.
Educational Background
Ken practiced law for over 16 years in Virginia before relocating to Colorado in 2017. He has earned a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating by his fellow attorneys and judges, the highest possible rating of excellence in legal ability and ethical standards.
Thereafter, he earned his J.D. with Honors from the George Mason University School of Law (now the Antonin Scalia Law School), a first-tier law school in Arlington, Virginia, in 2000.
Personal and Professional Background
Ken practiced law for over 16 years in Virginia before relocating to Colorado in 2017. He has earned a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating by his fellow attorneys and judges, the highest possible rating of excellence in legal ability and ethical standards.
Ken’s entire career has consisted of litigating and trying cases, originally for defendants and insurance companies, and currently for injured parties. This diverse experience gives Ken unique insight into the strategic thinking of insurance adjusters and defense attorneys, which gives him an advantage in securing excellent results for his clients.
Ken went into the Army immediately after graduating high school in Indiana in 1984 and served as a Russian linguist for Military Intelligence in West Germany during the final years of the Cold War. Ken had a Top Secret security clearance and was flown in helicopters along the East German border to intercept and analyze Russian military radio transmissions.
After leaving the Army, Ken became active in public affairs, and after graduating from college, managed several political campaigns, served as a Legislative Aide to two members of the Virginia General Assembly, served as Director of Governmental Affairs for a local Realtor association, and served as a Legislative Assistant to former U.S. Senator John W. Warner. Ken attended law school at night while working full-time in the Senate. He graduated with honors from a first-tier law school a semester early in December 2000 and was admitted to the practice of law in the spring of 2001.
Ken is married to Dr. Kimberly Falkenstein, a Psychiatric Doctor of Nursing Practice serving as a professor at highly respected nursing college. He has three boys, one of whom has Down syndrome and several other disabilities, two adult stepdaughters, and one grandson. Ken is proud that his oldest son, Adam, is now following his family’s tradition of military service in the U.S. Army.
Ken and his family live in Castle Rock, and in his spare time he likes to go hiking, travel with his family, or just relax with his books. He also loves music and annoys his wife by stubbornly refusing to part with his library of over 2,500 CDs.
